Many patients have life-limiting illnesses that are not curable such as advanced cancers. People with these kinds of illnesses sometimes are afraid of being abandoned by their medical caregivers. They fear being told by their medical team that there is nothing more they can do. ITARC Palliative care treats and manages illnesses to improve and sustain the quality of life and the welfare of the patient.

ITARC utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, relying on input from physicians, nurses, counselors, social workers, psychologists, nutritionists, physical therapists and other allied health professionals in formulating a plan of care to relieve suffering in all areas of a patient’s life. This multidisciplinary approach allows the palliative care team to address physical, emotional, spiritual, and social concerns that arise with advanced illness.
